The beautiful city of Kamloops features hiking trails, wildlife parks, bikes, and many other interesting spots. Believe it or not, it is a four-season adventure playground that will steal your heart. I had a beautiful experience wandering around the city and experience the things that this city has to offer. Let’s take a look at the things you should do when you are in Kamloops.
- Visit Kamloops Museum and Archive
This is a great place to learn about the rich history of Kamloops and also Canada. There are different artifacts and art forms to check out. In case you are putting up downtown, this is worth a visit. There is a children’s museum on the lower floor.
- Kamloops Art Gallery
The primary gallery is that supports contemporary and historical visual arts at a global and national level. They organize exhibitions and programs for engaging and informing the audiences. It is preserver’s arts of all forms. What’s interesting is that they create opportunities for local public and all art professionals.
- Kamloops Heritage Railway
The 2141 steam train’s history fascinated me. It takes you for a ride and is one of its kinds. It has been restored 10 years back and is an ornament for the park. I took a trip to learn about the dancing girls, first nation, acoustics, and masked robbers.
- Paul Lake Provincial Park
Visit the forest of aspen, pine, and Douglas-fir, the Paul Lake Provincial Park. There is a large camp, car top boat launch, beach, and also a day area. If you want to go hiking, there are trails for that. You can reach the campground by driving 30 minutes from Kamloops. Since I was feeling a little more adventurous, I rented a bike to go up the bike trails. This has been a wonderful experience.
