The sun-drenched city of Kelowna is a great vacation spot. I feel in complete love with the food, the weather, and the beaches that it has to offer. The city is all about nature and is the best choice if you are a nature lover. Read to learn about the different things to do in this area.
- Go Hiking on Myra Canyon Park
Kelowna Park is one of the best parks and I made it a point to check this out. There are trails in the canyon with eighteen different trestle bridges that have stellar views. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous, explore the two tunnels. Bask in the glory of nature by walking or biking along the walls of this canyon. To learn more about the history of this place, go for a guided tour.
- Explore the Big White Ski Resort
This is surely the winter wonderland. I went skiing and ice-skating. You can also go ice-climbing wall, tubing, snowboarding, and dog-sled tours. Want to feel like Santa Claus? Take on the horse-drawn sleigh rides. In case you are feeling tired after the adventurous long day, relax at a spa.
- Visit Lake Okanagan
To spend some relaxing time with your family or loved one, relax on the beach, play tennis, go on a hike, or go golfing, visit the resort on Lake Okanagan. This resort includes a sauna and a Jacuzzi. Want to get out on water? Rent a boat, water skis, kayaks, or paddle boats. I tried out the water trampolines and it was a great experience.
- Go wine tasting
Go for wine tasting in the Napa of North. Choose one among the various wine tours available. Some of them offer a guided tour through the wineries. If you are planning for a stay, few wineries have guest houses and you can book them.
